What is the iPod project?

The iPod project is part of an ongoing initiative to introduce Northeastern University faculty to iPod technology as a method to record and deliver content publicly to the Northeastern University iTunesU site or directly into the secure Northeastern University Blackboard course site.

Academic Technology Services, the Educational Technology Center and the Provost have teamed up to provide Northeastern University faculty with the ability to borrow an iPod and a microphone for an agreed upon period of time to try out this new medium.

These podcasts can contain anything from classroom lectures to a recording of a Professor's explanation of a complex concept to an interview with an interesting subject. The number of iPods and microphones is limited, so equipment is loaned on a first come, first served basis.
